Repeat Prescriptions
If you have regular medication for a condition, that your doctor is aware of, you can periodically collect a repeat prescription from the practice without having to make an appointment. You may occasionally be asked to make an appointment with a doctor or nurse for a medication review.
Repeat prescription requests can be made by the following ways:
Online
Our practice has been enabled to take repeat prescriptions online via the link at the top of this page. In order to make use of this facility, you must be registered as a patient with our practice. Only then can you register with this service - SystmOnline. You can register for this service by calling in at the surgery - please bring with you 1 x form of photographic ID.
By Post / In Person
All prescriptions should be requested in writing detailing name, date of birth, address and medication required. You can fax a request through on 0116 235 7867 or send a request in the post enclosing a stamped addressed envelope. We have a postbox by the entrance door to the surgery or when we are closed we have a postbox attached to the railings next to the side gate.
Unfortunately, for reasons of medical safety we cannot accept a request for medications by telephone OR via e-mail.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, practice nurse or healthcare assistant at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
